Kent Station is a $100 million, 300,000-square-foot mixed-use project that covers 18 acres. The project is anchored by a 14-screen AMC Theatres, Green River Community College campus and several best-in-category national, regional and local retailers and eateries. Maria Royer first became involved in the project when the City of Kent sent out a request for proposal in 2002 for development, marketing and leasing services. As an original team member with Tarragon, her active participation at this early stage helped the developer formulate a development proposal and overall vision for the retail portion of the project. Maria helped the architects and developer to identify the core assets of the site and to formulate a tenant-mix strategy. Once the master plan was created, Maria assisted the developer in creating an overall pro-forma, including marketing/leasing timeline and implementation. Phase I was completed in 2005; Phase II opened in 2006.
